Pagadian City mall buy-bust nets P4-M worth of ‘shabu’
PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur– Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Office (ZDSPO) arrested a high-value drug suspect, seizing an estimated P4.08 million worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation inside a mall in Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City, on Thursday morning.
The operation, conducted at around 9:30 a.m. at a fast-food outlet in Barangay San Pedro, led to the arrest of alias “Omar,” 54, married, and a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur.

Authorities recovered from the suspect an open transparent plastic pack labeled “666,” containing about 500 grams of suspected shabu used as the buy-bust item, and one knot-tied transparent plastic pack containing about 100 grams of suspected shabu.
The total haul weighed about 600 grams, with a standard drug price value of P4,080,000.
Authorities also confiscated assorted non-drug evidence, including cellular phones, bags used in the transaction, boodle money, and other items relevant to the operation.
