In a statement, the PNP identified three of the accused only by their aliases—“Jun,” 51; “JP,” 41; and “Brice,” 40—and said they were arrested in separate operations on June 25.
The fourth accused voluntarily surrendered following coordinated tracking operations.
All four are facing charges of malversation of public funds or property through falsification of public documents.
“All warrants were issued in connection with alleged irregularities involving a flood control project in Bulacan,” the PNP said.
“No bail was recommended for the case,” it added.
PNP chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. reiterated the PNP’s commitment to enforcing the law.
He also assured the public that all four accused were informed of their constitutional rights and are now under proper custody pending turnover to the issuing court. /mcm
