PDEA, cops bust drug den in Batangas City
LUCENA CITY, Quezon—Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives and police dismantled an alleged drug den and arrested four suspects in Batangas City, Batangas, on Monday, June 1.
A report posted by PDEA Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) on its Facebook page said that at 4:10 p.m., its operatives and policemen raided a suspected drug den following a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) 23.
The raiders arrested the suspects identified only as “Budo,” 49; “Karla,” 32; “Harold,” 43; and “Erwin,” 54, after they allegedly sold shabu to a poseur buyer.
The law enforcers seized five grams of shabu worth P34,000 and assorted drug-sniffing paraphernalia.
The report did not identify the drug den maintainer among the suspects.
All arrested suspects were detained, and cases of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them. /apl
