MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will set aside P112 million for the yearly payment for a storage site for its precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machines, a Radyo Inquirer 990AM report said on Monday.

Comelec came up with resolution no. 9486 to ensure that they find another warehouse to move their PCOS machines after their free lease for Smartmatic’s warehouse in Cabuyao, Laguna expires on August this year.

The report said that Comelec chairman Sixto Brillantes has tasked their special bids and awards committee to look for warehouses which can store some 80,000 PCOS machines.
