MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has issued subpoenas to three vloggers who allegedly spread false information regarding the health of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Monday.

“The document provided by the PCO (Presidential Communications Office) for an immediate, in-depth investigation into vloggers who spread false information about the President’s health has already been forwarded to the NBI. A subpoena has also been issued for the appropriate investigation,” Castro said in Filipino at a briefing.

On April 15, the PCO, through its Anti-Fake News Desk, endorsed three Facebook accounts to the Department of Justice for investigation and appropriate legal action. These accounts allegedly spread false information about Marcos’ health.

The PCO said “Iloy Bugris: The Queen of Revelations” reportedly conducted live broadcasts claiming that Marcos was critically ill.

Meanwhile, “Rigondola Ping” fabricated images depicting the President in a state of physical distress, while “Crage Anderpal” shared fake news graphics claiming supposed official confirmation of a serious health condition. /mcm
