Jailbird captured by Pateros tracking team; 1 more at large
Police arrested on Thursday afternoon one of four inmates who escaped from the Pateros Municipal Jail last month after its tracking team received a tip that the suspect was headed to the countryside.
The suspect was identified as Antonio Reyes, of Barangay (village) Aguho, Pateros, who was nabbed at around 4:15 p.m. in his mother’s house in Barangay Hagunoy, Taguig City.
Team leader Inspector Glenn Aculana said they had been monitoring Reyes for several days after an informant tipped them of the inmate’s plans to go to Mindoro.
“We also received information that he had gone back to his old ways and that he was robbing people again,” the police official said.
Reyes was the third inmate to be arrested following the daring jailbreak on June 26. On June 28, Pateros policemen nabbed Erwin Constantino. Another inmate, Teotimo Laderos, was caught on July 3.
Both Constantino and Reyes had been detained on robbery charges while Laderos was serving time for drug and qualified theft cases.

Police learned that the suspect wanted to get back at his wife who rarely visited him while he was in jail.
The police official said they were confident that the missing Labios would soon fall in their hands.
