LIST: Power interruptions on Maundy Thursday, April 2

MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) announced that several areas in Caloocan, Marikina, and Batangas may experience power interruptions on Maundy Thursday due to maintenance works.

According to its website, below are the areas possibly affected by the interruptions.

Caloocan

In Caloocan, power interruptions are likely to occur from 11 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, April 2, to 5 a.m. on Black Friday, April 3, due to preventive maintenance and testing works at the Meralco–CIPP substation. Affected areas include:

• Whole of Circuit Sitio Gitna 63SIG – Bagbaguin 63YZ
• Sitio Gitna 61SIG – Kaybiga 62YX

Marikina City

In Marikina, power interruptions were scheduled between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Maundy Thursday, and again from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. due to replacement of facilities along Marcos Highway.

• Portion of A. Bonifacio Ave. from Marcos Highway, including Kabo Pio, Fernando, Francisco, Bellarmine, Canisius, Berchmans, Brebeuf, Claver, De Britto, Gonzaga, Kostka, Regis, Xavier, Kapt. Sendong, M. Cruz, and M. Gonzales Sts.
• Ateneo Housing Phases I & II, Brgy. Barangka
• Portion of Euro St. to Riverbanks Ave., including Pound, Dollar, Yen, Dinar, and Krone Sts.
• Urban Bliss Barangka, Brgy. Barangka
• Portion of Marcos Highway from Meralco-Marikina substation to A. Bonifacio Ave., including The Arton by Rockwell in Brgy. Loyola Heights, Quezon City

According to Meralco, due to the same facility replacement works, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., power interruption were also said to be likely in the following areas:

• Portion of Monte Vista Access Road and Apitong St. from Narra to Kamagong Sts. including Apitong, Dao, Ipil, and Lauan Sts. in Monte Vista Subdivision, Brgy. Industrial Valley 

Batangas

Meanwhile, due to maintenance works in the First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, interruptions were scheduled between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at:

• Tann Philippines Inc. in First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP), Bgy. Sta. Anastacia.

Then, from 5 a.m. on Maundy Thursday, April 2, to 5 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 5, below are the affected areas:

• Ibiden Bank 1 in First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP), Bgy. Sta. Anastacia.
• Ibiden VFI-3 in First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP), Bgy. Sta. Anastacia. /das
