Senate resumes probe into PCSO fund scam

MANILA, Philippines – The Senate’s blue ribbon committee, chaired by Senator Teofisto Guingona III, resumed its inquiry into the fund scam involving the  Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) fund.

Present in Thursday’s hearing are: Sergio Valencia, former chairman of the PCSO; Rosario Uriarte, former general manager of PCSO; former members of the board Raymundo Roquero, Jose Taruc, and Manuel Morato.

Also present are incumbent PCSO chairperson Margarita Juico, PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, and present board members Francisco Joaquin III, Mabel Mamba, and Betty Nantes.

Senators present are Franklin Drilon, Panfilo Lacson and Juan Ponce Enrile.
