Park n’ Go captures Power 40 hoops title
THE Romy “El Presidente” Rama-led Park n’ Go beat Water Market of Vez Eleguin, 105-97, Tuesday night to capture the championship of the Power Forty, President’s Cup-2012 basketball tournament at the Emilio Jaca Memorial gym.
Park n’ Go held single-digit leads in the first two periods before Water Market staged a 25-22 rally in the third led by former SWU Cobra pointguard Michael Arias and Vez Eleguin to tie the count at 74-all.
However, Park n’ Go outscored Water Market, 31-24 in the fourth to clinch the crown.
Erik Abatayo and Adot Tabar had 22 points apiece, while the trio of Wewe Cabrera, Danny Lisondra and Al Misa combined for 33 points for Park ‘n Go.
Michael Arias and Vez Eleguin paced Water Market with 22 and 20 points, respectively.
Earlier, the Utility Assurance Corp. (UTASSCO) of Atty. Flor Yosores grabbed the 3rd place trophy after routing Ang Tibay Mo of Edwin Dejacto, 111-108.
