A security guard was shot dead in front of a Makati City condominium on Sunday morning, a police report from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said.

MANILA, Philippines — A security guard was shot dead in front of a Makati City condominium on Sunday morning, a police report from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said.

It noted that the shooting incident took place along Yakal Street and identified the victim as a 39-year-old Laguna resident working as a security guard at the condominium.

“The suspects were described as two unidentified male persons riding a white Honda PCX motorcycle. The driver was reportedly wearing a Joyride uniform, while the back rider was wearing a black jacket and a black bonnet,” the police report explained.

“An eatery vendor revealed that, while the victim was about to eat at her food cart, a male person suddenly appeared behind him and fired four successive gunshots at him. Thereafter, the suspects fled toward Chino Roces Avenue,” it added.

The victim was rushed to the Makati Medical Center and was declared dead on arrival, according to the police report.

It further noted that a cursory medical examination showed that the victim sustained gunshot wounds to his upper body and both arms.

Authorities also recovered four fired cartridge cases from a .9mm caliber firearm.

The recovered fired cartridge cases will be subjected to a ballistics examination, while the victim’s cellphone and motorcycle key were turned over to the investigators for safekeeping, the police report detailed. /gsg
