MCWD: Report water leaks

WITH the onset of the rainy season, heavy flooding in many parts of Metro Cebu that may damage water pipes is expected.

To ensure the safety and potability of the water supply, the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) appeals to the public to report any leak found before the meter, breaks and leakage in the transmission and distribution lines, illegal encroachments in water sources and watershed areas and illegal connections.

MCWD’s Water Laboratory in Talamban, Cebu City makes sure all regulatory requirements for water quality are diligently observed and followed. MCWD uses chlorine to eliminate contaminants in water.
