Vendor stabs customers

A PUBLIC school teacher and a man were stabbed by a fish vendor at Carbon market in barangay Ermita, Cebu City.

Police said the suspect, Nicanor Tiangco, 69, got irked when the two victims tried to bargain for a lower price.

Virgilio Regalado Jr., 31, a teacher of Tigbao National High School and a resident of barangay Sambag Uno, Cebu City, and Efren Palomar, both sustained stab wounds in the abdomen.

Police said Tangco was drunk during the incident which happened at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Tongco was arrested by responding barangay tanods who then turned him over to the homicide section of the Cebu City Police Office./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
