4.5-magnitude quake hits Zamboanga

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines—A 4.5-magnitude earthquake hit Zamboanga del Norte province Thursday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

Allan Labayog, Phivolcs officer in Zamboanga said the quake, which occurred at 7:27 p.m., was tectonic in origin.

According to the Phivolcs website, the earthquake was felt in different areas of the province at the following intensities:
