Everything is going smooth for coach Tim Cone and the B-Meg Llamados, who are on the verge of clinching a playoff spot. That cannot be said for Cone’s former team, the Alaska Aces, who are headed for an early vacation.
The Llamados look to formalize their entry to the seminal round when they collide with the struggling Aces in the main game of today’s double-header of the 37th PBA Governors’ Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Llamados are currently tied with the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at the number one spot with identical 4-1 (win-loss) records.
The Llamados, recently crowned Commissioner’s Cup champions, are on a four-game wining streak, picking up successive victories after starting the tournament with a 94-100 overtime loss to the Painters.
The Aces, on the other hand, are facing a steep climb to stay in contention.
