Forum on emerging Cebu industries to highlight med tourism, retirement

CEBU’S aim to become a destination for retirement, medical tourism and real estate is the focus of the Emerging Industry Forum on Friday at the Quest Hotel and Conference Center in Cebu City.

This is one of several forums organized by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry  (CCCI) for Cebu Business Month.

Experts will tackle real estate, green design development and technology and banking industries.

“We are targeting to attract local entrepreneurs interested in having a stake in the rise of Cebu as a premier development site for investors in the fields of retirement, medical tourism and real estate,” said CCCI president Prudencio Gesta.

FEATURED STORIES

Real estate speakers include Joe Soberano III, president of Cebu Landmasters Inc.; Manuel Colayco, chief operations officer of Taft Property Venture Development Corporation; Jonah Lafuente, vice president and chief operations officer of ProHomes Development Inc. and Rep. Cynthia Villar for Vista Land & Lifescapes Inc.

For green design development, speakers are Architect Ma. Lourdes Joy Onozawa, chief executive officer of Environment Designs, Inc; Architect Christopher Dela Cruz who is chairman of Phil. Green Building Council; Francis Dy, president of Greenworld LED Solutions, Inc., and  Engineer Edgar Garcia, director of the Department of Science and Technology – Technology Application and Promotion Institute.
