Comelec suspends proclamation of Duterte Youth, BH party-lists

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Monday suspended the proclamation of party-list groups Duterte Youth and Bagong Henerasyon (BH) due to pending petitions against them.

The Comelec, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers, issued the resolution for suspension during the proclamation of winning party-lists at Manila Hotel Tent City.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday said he is willing to make peace with the Dutertes.

ICC prosecution requests deadline extension for disclosure of witnesses

The International Criminal Court’s (ICC) Office of the Prosecutor has requested that the Pre-Trial Chamber 1 extend the deadline for disclosure of arrest warrant materials as well as the identity of witnesses in former president Rodrigo Duterte’s crime against humanity case.

The Prosecution made the request in a seven-page document dated May 14, noting that there is good cause to extend the disclosure deadline in relation to the arrest warrant materials no later than July 1, 2025, as well as withhold witness identities related to Duterte’s case until June 20, 2025.

P20-per-kilo rice will be available in Mindanao in July, says DA

The government is set to roll out the P20-per-kilo rice program in Mindanao starting in July, Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. announced on Monday.
