Bad weather forces organizers to move Cong. Red tri series

THE SECOND leg of the Congressman Red Tri Series, which was to be held on Camotes Island this Sunday, has been rescheduled to a later date because of bad weather and a storm that has been forecasted this weekend.

Organizers assured that those who have registered will be refunded if they opt to withdraw from the race since organizers have yet to come up with a rescheduled date.

Triathletes still have a choice to join a road race this Sunday at the Sands Beach Resort in Danao City.

The race, wherein 60 cyclists have already registered, will start at 7 a.m.

Categories for the road race are A and B open, and C. For the triathletes, categories for the men are age group 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, category 45-49, 50-54-55-59, 60 & above.

For the women, there’s the age group 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40 & above.

For the road race, there will be a rolling start from the Sands Beach Resort to the Durano Foundation, where the mass start will happen, then turnaround at barangay Corte, Tabogon for approximately 80 kilometers./CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
