Ombudsman unmoved by threats

MANILA, Philippines—Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales is undaunted by the grenade found in her Muntinlupa City home Wednesday.

Morales said she was not sure if the grenade was related to the impeachment case and she would not want to speculate.

“Im a fatalist,” she said. “If it’s your time, your time.”.

She said threats against her are part of the risks that go with her position.
