Tanod shoots, injures man in Lapu
A 32-YEAR-OLD MAN was seriously wounded after he was shot by a tanod in barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City.
Ronaldo Lumandas was shot in the chest by Bernardo Pakib, 52, who was arrested after the shooting on Monday night.
Police said Lumandas were drinking with friends in the house of Danny Amarillo when Pakib passed by.
Police said Pakib heard Lumandas and his friends laugh hard just as he passed by and took offense, thinking they were making fun of him.
Pakib approached Lumandas to confront him. The tanod drew a .45 pistol and shot the victim in the chest.
Lumandas was rushed by his friends to the hospital.
