Orange rainfall alert up in Camarines Norte on Christmas Day

MANILA, Philippines — An orange rainfall warning was raised in Camarines Norte on the afternoon of Christmas Day, while a yellow warning was raised over other parts of Luzon, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In a 2:15 p.m. advisory, the Office of the Civil Defense warned residents of Camarines Norte to beware of heavy rains with chances of flooding and landslides.

When an area is under an orange rainfall warning, 15 to 30 millimeters (mm) of intense rain is expected within one hour and may persist for the next two hours.

Areas under a yellow heavy rainfall warning will experience rainfall between 7.5 mm and 15 mm within one hour and could continue in the next two hours.

Meanwhile, the weather bureau also warned of light to moderate rains over Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Zambales, and Pampanga within the next three hours.

Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains were also forecast to affect Cavite, Metro Manila, Rizal, Bataan, and Bulacan, which may persist within the next three hours.
