Shabu worth P1.9M, 4 guns seized in Calabarzon
LUCENA CITY — Police arrested seven suspects in anti-illegal drugs operations on Wednesday and Thursday in Cavite, Rizal, Laguna and Quezon provinces.
The operations yielded more than P1.9 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) and three illegal firearms, the Region 4A police said in a report.
Colonel Dwight Alegre, Cavite police chief, reported to Region 4A police, that anti-illegal drugs operatives in Dasmariñas City arrested three persons identified only as “Barok,” “Raymond,” and “Jeff” at 12:55 a.m. Thursday in Barangay Salawag.
Seized from the suspects were two knot-tied plastic bags and nine sachets with shabu weighing 240 grams worth P1,632,000, one undocumented caliber .45 pistol loaded with three bullets, and a digital weighing scale.
The suspects, residents of Salawag, are classified as high-value individuals (HVI) in the illegal drug trade. HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs or leaders/members of drug groups.

Article continues after this advertisementThe suspect, an identified street-level drug pusher, was caught in alleged possession of six sachets of meth weighing 30 grams worth P204,000.
In Laguna, policemen also arrested two alleged armed drug pushers on Wednesday.
In San Pedro City, operatives busted “Randy” in Barangay Langgam at 5:55 p.m.
The suspect, a known drug pusher in the locality, was caught in alleged possession of P68,000 worth of shabu and an undocumented caliber .22 revolver with two bullets.
San Pablo City cops nabbed “Jonjon,” a street drug pusher, in Barangay Sto. Anghel at 3:11 p.m.
The suspect yielded P34,000 worth of shabu and an illegal caliber .22 gun with five bullets.
In Lucena, Quezon, Lieutenant Colonel Dennis de Guzman, city police chief, said policemen collared “Erickson” in Barangay Cotta around 9 p.m.
The law enforcers, armed with a search warrant, found the suspect in possession of an illegal caliber .38 revolver with three bullets and shabu worth 40,800.
The suspects were detained and are facing charges for allegedly violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The arrested suspects in Cavite, Laguna, and Lucena City will also face another case of illegal possession of firearms.
