BGC buses go cashless for riders’ convenience
Commuters patronizing Bonifacio Global City (BGC) buses can just tap their Mastercard debit and credit cards to pay for their fare instead of using Beep cards under a partnership between Mastercard and Beep operator AF Payments Inc. (AFPI).
AFPI president and CEO Jonathan Juan Moreno, in an interview in Taguig, said they were planning to roll out this payment solution next in Edsa buses and the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3).
He added that they were also in talks with Visa to provide another option.

“We want to be able to close something for the end of the year. If not, the latest is the first quarter of next year,” he said.
Mastercard Philippines country manager Simon Calasanz said the digital payment solution would reduce queues at ticketing booths and save commuters time.
