Cebu allocates P12.1 million for Sugbo Vlog winners
CEBU CITY — A total of P12.1 million in prizes will be awarded by the Cebu provincial government to the winners of the “Sugbo Vlog” competition which is participated in by the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) federations of towns and cities in the province.
Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia on Wednesday, Nov. 20, announced that the top 10 winning SK Federations for the event will be selected.
Each winning group will receive P1 million worth of infrastructure project funding.
The top 10, the governor said, will also get a cash prize of P100,000 each.
Another P1 million worth of infrastructure projects will be allocated for the winner of the “People’s Choice Award,” along with a P100,000 cash prize.
Article continues after this advertisementGarcia said the “Sugbo Vlog” is the first contest of its kind in the country, involving Cebuano youth showcasing the pride of their towns and cities.
Article continues after this advertisement“We would like you to be part of this endeavor. This is the first-ever of its kind in the entire country,” she beamed with pride.
“We hope that this time, the Sugboanong Kabataan (Cebuano youth) will finally feel that they are part of this total endeavor,” she added.
This initiative by the Cebu Capitol allows 51 SK Federations across the province to highlight the unique culture, sustainable programs, tourist attractions and other features of their areas through vlogs.
Through this contest, participants can demonstrate their creativity while developing and promoting their areas.
The deadline for the submission of entries is at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 5. The entries must be uploaded on the official SK Federation pages.
The number of followers, views and reactions to the vlogs will contribute to the final score.
