PNP seizes P77.9 million worth of illegal drugs in October
MANILA, Philippines — Over P77.9 million worth of illegal drugs were seized during a month-long nationwide operation, according to the Philippine National Police – Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG).
In a report on Wednesday, PNP-DEG said the narcotics were confiscated in 71 anti-drug operations, involving 80 suspects, from October 1 to 31.
The illegal drugs seized were as follows:
- 3,502.20 grams of crystal meth (locally known as shabu)
- 33,000 grams of kush
- 33,040 grams of dried marijuana
- 45 ml of marijuana oil
- 700 marijuana seedlings
- 2,800 fully grown marijuana plants
The confiscated illegal drugs from the arrested traffickers amount to P77,921,760, the report said.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s latest data, the Marcos administration’s anti-drug campaign has so far netted a total of P49.82 billion worth of narcotics to date. — Emmanuel John Abris, INQUIRER.net intern
