Church pastor shot dead in Rizal

LUCENA CITY – A 63-year-old female local church pastor was shot dead on Friday, November 1, in Rodriguez town in Rizal province, police said.

The Police Region 4A on Saturday reported that the victim, Ma. Fe. Armiza, a pastor of Alpha Omega Church, was with a group of people around 8:40 a.m. measuring lands in the remote part of Barangay (village) San Isidro.

The still unidentified armed man appeared and called the victim’s attention by yelling her name before shooting her with a handgun.

The assailant fled after the shooting.

An investigation is ongoing to establish the identity of the gunman and the motive behind the incident.

Police launched a manhunt operation to arrest the culprit.
