Brahma Kumaris holds talk, demo on vegetarian cooking
October is no longer Nutrition Month, but people are already turning their thoughts on the upcoming Christmas holidays. No one wants their festive eating to contribute to medical issues so it’s a good idea to prepare healthy food. The Brahma Kumaris will teach those interested in how to do so.
Good food is more than just quality ingredients. Preparing and enjoying it in a peaceful and relaxed environment helps the body by allowing the digestive organs, to function most efficiently.
On Saturday, Oct. 19, the Brahma Kumaris Center in Bagtikan, Makati City, will hold an informative talk along with a vegetarian cooking demonstration from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
This in-person program titled “Food and Soul” is being organized in conjunction with the annual observance of World Food Day on Oct. 16.
The menu will feature a South Indian crepe called dosa, Mexican rice, Japanese sushi roll, veggie sinigang, a Filipino sour soup, as well as bliss squares.
