Cloudy Monday with rain showers in parts of Luzon, Visayas
MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies and scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean will prevail in various parts of the country on Monday afternoon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres said cloudy skies and rain showers are forecast in Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur.
“There are numerous cloud clusters in the eastern part of Luzon. This is caused by the easterlies, or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean. These easterlies are affecting the eastern part of Luzon and the Visayas,” Torres said in Filipino.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms are expected in Metro Manila and the rest of the country, Pagasa added.
No low-pressure area is being monitored by the state weather bureau, as of 4 p.m. Monday.
No gale warning was raised over any of the country’s seaboards.
