Slain racer Enzo Pastor’s widow in Indonesia, says DOJ chief

MANILA, Philippines–The widow of  slain international race car driver Ferdinand “Enzo” Pastor, who is facing a case of parricide is in Indonesia, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said Monday.

Last week, the Supreme Court ordered the revival of the case against Dalia Guerrero Pastor, reinstating the arrest warrant and a hold departure order against her.

When asked if they have already confirmed that Dalia is in Indonesia, Remulla replied: “Yes, there are just some things we have to validate. Information we have to validate such as the name she’s using there, so that when we do the request, it is going to fall in sync with all the allegations that we may have on the case.”

“Because a special extradition request should contain sufficient facts for them to act on the request,” he added.

But Remulla said they have not yet reached out to their counterparts in Indonesia.

The race care driver was shot dead in 2014 in Quezon City while on his way to a race in Pampanga.

He succumbed to gunshot wounds to the head, neck and arms.

The prosecutors charged Dalia with parricide while Police Officer II Edgar Angel, the confessed gunman, was charged with murder.

Angel admitted his role in the crime and identified Dalia and Domingo De Guzman III as the persons who contracted him for the hit in exchange for P100,000.

Both Angel and De Guzman were arrested and charged with murder while Dalia escaped.

 “We have to get the facts in, validate everything. I asked for documents which were submitted just today but we haven’t done checking it yet,” he said.
