Marauders, Pioneers win

The 1&1 Marauders leaned on a balanced attack to pull off a 76-66 win over the Calltek Trojans, while the Sykes Pioneers banked on a solid start to defeat the SSI Pure Science, 53-42, last Monday in the 2012 Sun Cellular E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Raymaond Basañez tallied 17 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals as the Marauders  climbed to solo top spot in the northern conference with their third win in as many games.

John Paul Talan added 14 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Orland Bastida had 12 points, 11 rebounds and two steals for 1&1. Joniel Roy Rosales and Jess Warren Santos each donated 10 points for 1&1.

Aerl Genebraldo piled up 28 points, nine rebounds and three assists, while Jan Pierre Gelez listed 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks bu their efforts went to naught as Calltek tasted its third straight loss in as many games.
