Girl, 8, dies, boy hurt after motorcycle hit them in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY — An 8-year-old girl died and a 9-year-old boy was injured after they were hit by a speeding motorcycle in this city on Monday, Sept. 23.

The Quezon police said on Tuesday, Sept. 24, that “Christine” and “Mark” were bumped at 6 p.m. by the motorcycle driven by one “Henry” while they were crossing the diversion road in Barangay Bocohan.

Both pedestrians suffered injuries and were taken to the nearest hospital but Christine died during treatment.

The motorcyclist, who had no driver’s license, was placed under police custody while the investigation continues.
