Marcos names ERC officer-in-charge, CEO
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. has designated Jesse Hermogenes Andres as officer-in-charge chairperson and chief executive officer of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).
This was announced by the Presidential Communications Office through a memorandum dated September 20.
The designation is “effective immediately, until a replacement is designated or until otherwise directed by this office.”
The Office of the Ombudsman earlier ordered a six-month preventive suspension to ERC Chair Monalisa Dimalanta for alleged neglect of duty in connection with a complaint filed by a consumer interest group.
Dimalanta said she already filed a motion for reconsideration for the preventive suspension.
