DOLE to hold 3 mega job fairs in September

MANILA, Philippines — Heads up, jobseekers!

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is set to hold three mega job fairs this September.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma said the job fairs will be held on the following dates and locations:

• September 13 Bagong Pilipinas Job Fair in Robinsons Malls nationwide
• September 18 to 20 World Trade Center, Pasay City
• September 19 to 21 SMX Convention Center, Pasay City

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the unemployment rate in July rose to 4.7 percent from 3.1 percent in June. The number of employed Filipinos in July decreased to 47.70 million from 50.28 million in the preceding month.
