LEGAZPI CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives in the Bicol region seized more than P9 million worth of illegal drugs in August.

Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Bicol police, reported on Tuesday, Sept. 3, that they confiscated 1,328.45 grams of shabu (crystal meth) and 61.34 grams of marijuana.

The police arrested at least 144 drug suspects in 138 operations in the six Bicol provinces.

Calubaquib said they forged partnerships with local governments, schools, and non-government organizations to ensure that the anti-illegal drugs programs were implemented in the communities.
