TD Enteng now a Tropical Storm; heavy rains expected in parts of Luzon

PAgasa's 5 a.m. Heavy Rainfall Warning (No. 4) reported that Tropical Storm Enteng will bring heavy rainfall in several areas of Luzon

MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Enteng intensifies into a Tropical Storm as its center nears the coastal waters of Vinzons, Camarines Norte, according to the 5 a.m. bulletin (No.6) of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Meanwhile, the state weather bureau’s 5 a.m. Heavy Rainfall Warning (No. 4) reported that Tropical Storm Enteng will bring heavy rainfall in the following areas:

  • ORANGE WARNING LEVEL: Quezon where flooding is classified as threatening
  • YELLOW WARNING LEVEL: Laguna, Rizal and Batangas where flooding is expected in flood-prone areas.

Meanwhile, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains will affect Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Bulacan, Cavite and Metro Manila, which may persist within 3 hours.

Pagasa advised the public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned to monitor the weather condition and watch for the next warning to be issued at 8 a.m. today.
