Quezon road mishaps: 2 motorcyclists dead
LUCENA CITY — Two motorcycle riders died in separate accidents along the Maharlika Highway in Quezon province on Friday, August 16, police said.
The Quezon police said in a report Saturday, August 17, that “Christian”, 25, was driving his motorcycle when it accidentally tumbled due to bad road conditions in Barangay (village) Isabang in Tayabas City around 4:57 a.m.
The motorcycle skidded and was hit by a truck running on the side of the ill-fated vehicle.
The rider was consequently run over and dragged by the truck driven by “Renato.”
The motorcyclist sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital in neighboring Lucena City but eventually died.

In Sariaya town, motorcyclist “Jemar”, 31, accidentally crashed into a parked 10-wheeler truck on the side of the highway in Barangay Concepcion Palasan around 3:30 a.m. on Friday
The still unidentified truck driver sped off after the incident and left the victim seriously injured.
The victim died while being taken to Candelaria District Hospital in neighboring Candelaria town.
The police were still searching for video footage from closed-circuit television cameras in the area to identify the suspect’s vehicle, the report said.
