4 drug suspects busted, almost P2-M shabu seized in Sultan Kudarat

COTABATO CITY – The Soccsksargen police arrested four drug suspects and seized almost P2 million worth of suspected shabu during a series of entrapment operations in the towns of Lebak and Kalamansig in Sultan Kudarat.
Brig. Gen. James Gulmatico, regional director of Police Regional Office-12, said three separate operations were conducted in the two coastal towns.
In Barangay Barurao 2 of Lebak, an entrapment operation led to the arrest of a certain “Bata”,42, and his companion known only as “JB”, 20.
Police seized P1.1 million worth ofshabu and a hand grenade from the suspects on Thursday.
On the same day, joint operatives from the local police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-12 and the military arrested another drug suspect and seized from him P300,000 worth of meth during a drug buy-bust in Barangay Poblacion, Lebak.
The suspect was identified as “Odin,” 49, of Barangay Poloy-Poloy, Lebak.
“Odin is a high-value target,” Gulmatico said of the suspect who also yielded a .45 caliber pistol.
In nearby Kalamansig town, an entrapment operation in Barangay Cadiz also resulted in the confiscation of P544,000 worth of shabu and arrested alias “Mani,” 52.
“These successful operations are clear manifestation of our commitment to eradicating illegal drugs in the region,” Gulmatico said.
