The four were apprehended during a joint operation led by the police and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) representatives at a warehouse along Veterans Center in Taguig City last August 6.

Confiscated from the suspects were marked money, sales receipts, and 1,355 boxes of unregistered luncheon meat worth P3,252,000.

However, SPD noted that three others linked to the case managed to escape and remain at large.

The arrested suspects are facing criminal complaints for violating Section 11 of the Republic Act 9711 or the FDA Law.

Furthermore, the authorities have also issued a report of violation against the establishment for reportedly operating without a license and storing and selling unregistered food products. — Arianne Denisse Cagsawa, INQUIRER.net intern
