Yulo, 24, clinched his first gold late Saturday evening, while the second one followed the day after he scored the highest floor score in this year’s games.

Amid this, an old Facebook post of her mother congratulating a Japanese gymnast raised eyebrows of social media users, with many interpreting it as a slight to her son.

The mother of Yulo also later gave an interview to Bombo Radyo, expressing disapproval regarding the Olympian’s  relationship with Chloe San Jose.

The bemedalled gymnast has yet to publicly address the issue.
