Pasig River Ferry operations still suspended
MANILA, Philippines — The operations of the Pasig River Ferry remain suspended on Friday due to the elevated water level of the river, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced.
It was first suspended last Tuesday due to inclement weather caused by the southwest monsoon, locally known as “habagat.”
“The operation of the Pasig River Ferry Service remains suspended today, July 26. The high water level caused the pontoons to sink and some of them to be damaged,” the MMDA Pasig River Ferry Service said in a Facebook post written in Filipino.
In a separate advisory, the state weather bureau said cloudy and rainy conditions will prevail in Luzon, while fair weather is expected in the Visayas and Mindanao.
