MANILA, Philippines — The Palace has declared August 14 (Wednesday) a special non-working day in Mawab, Davao de Oro for its founding anniversary.

In Proclamation No. 628 signed July 11 by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. recognized that it would be a good gesture to commemorate the special day.

“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Mawab be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration,” the proclamation read.

“I, Lucas Bersamin, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., do hereby declare Wednesday, 14 August 2024, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Mawab, province of Davao de Oro,” it further stated.
