Barangay Juan-Loreto Tamayo will be created from three existing barangays of Cebuano, Linan and Miasong.

Of the 2,485 voters, 2,393 or 96 percent voted “yes,” while 89 voters or three percent voted “no,” the certificate showed.

Broken down, 1,294 voters came from Barangay Cebuano, 569 from Linan, and 622 from Miasong.

In a separate statement issued on Saturday night, Comelec attributed the peaceful conduct of the plebiscite to the Philippine National Police, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, with the full support of the local government unit.
