Rains expected over Luzon areas on Wednesday – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Rains are expected over areas in Luzon on Wednesday afternoon, the state weather bureau announced.

According to the 1:38 pm thunderstorm advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), thunderstorms with strong winds may affect Quezon, Laguna, Cavite, Nueva Ecija, Rizal, Batangas, Metro Manila, and Bataan.

The rains may begin two to three hours from the release of the advisory, Pagasa said.

The agency added that as of the issuance of the advisory, there were rains over areas in Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, and Bulacan which may last up to two hours and may affect surrounding areas.

Pagasa also asked the public to take care against weather-related incidents.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards, which include flash floods and landslides,” it said.
