Over 70,000 pass licensure exam for teachers in elementary, high school
MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) on Friday announced that over 70,000 passed the Licensure Exam for Professional Teachers (LEPT) for elementary and secondary education.
According to PRC, 20,890 of 44,764 examinees passed the LEPT elementary level, while 50,539 of 85,980 passed the LEPT secondary level.
Meanwhile, the PRC said the results of 36 examinees were withheld “pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations of the exams.”
The LEPTs were conducted on March 17, 2024, at testing centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Bayambang, Bohol, Catanduanes, Cauayan, Digos, Dumaguete, General Santos, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Kidapawan, Laguna, Marinduque, Masbate, Mati, Romblon and Tagum.
For the LEPTs in elementary, three examinees topped the list of topnotchers for garnering the highest score of 92.4 percent.

Khane Jevie Rose Solante Cervantes from Davao Oriental State University – Cateel Campus;
and Queenie Macalindong Macatangay from the University of Batangas.
Meanwhile, Javerson Loquina from Christian Colleges of Southeast Asia scored the highest in the LEPTs secondary level with a score of 92.8 percent.
