BI employees, however, are still required to wear their complete uniform every Monday.

“Exempted from this memorandum are employees under the civil security unit and those assigned at the international ports of entry and exit,” the BI said in a statement .

Aside from BI, the Department of the Interior and Local Government has also earlier allowed employees of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and Bureau of Fire Protection to wear light uniforms while on duty due to the extreme heat.
