Metro Manila LGUs adjust working hours
MANILA, Philippines — Some local government units (LGU) in Metro Manila announced on Wednesday that they will be adopting adjusted working hours for their LGU offices starting Thursday.
The cities made the announcement following a Metropolitan Manila Council resolution that recommended adjusted working hours for city government employees to alleviate traffic in the main roads of the capital region.

These are the cities which have announced adjusted working hours:
- City of Manila—All local government offices will observe a 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. schedule, including the Manila Health Department.
- Caloocan City—All city government employees will follow a 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. schedule except for the Business Permit and Licensing Office, City Treasury Department, City Assessment Department, and Public Information Office. These offices will still have a 24/7 schedule: City Disaster Reduction and Management Office, Public Safety and Traffic Management Office, City Environmental Management Department, Caloocan City Medical Center, and Caloocan City North Medical Center.
- Navotas City—All city government offices will observe a 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. schedule.
- Pasay City—All city government offices will observe a 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. schedule, while those in the “frontline offices” will be until 5 p.m. until June 30, 2024.
- Pasig City—90 percent of employees in city government offices will come to work from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., while 10 percent will come to work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This schedule will not be applicable to other offices that have different scheduling.
- Quezon City—All local government offices will observe a 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. schedule, while other offices will extend until 5 p.m.
- Taguig City—All city government offices will observe a 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. schedule.
