Cacdac takes oath as new DMW secretary
MANILA, Philippines— Newly appointed Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac has taken his oath for his new position, said the Palace on Friday.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed Cacdac on Thursday. Before his appointment, Cacdac was the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) officer-in-charge following the death of Secretary Susan Ople in August 2023.

“Pinangunahan ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin ang panunumpa ni G. Hans Leo Cacdac bilang ad interim Secretary ng Department of Migrant Workers ngayong araw, ika-26 ng Abril 2024,” said the Presidential Communications Office in a Facebook post.

Cacdac was appointed in September 2023 as officer-in-charge of the DMW and held the position for seven months before being named secretary.
