Man having sex with daughter arrested for rape

MANILA, Philippines — Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation’s Violence Against Women and Children Division have arrested a man accused of having sex with his biological daughter.

The suspect was caught in an entrapment operation at a motel in Norzagaray, Bulacan, on April 18 after the victim’s mother filed a complaint against him, the NBI said in a statement.

It added that the mother said the suspect abandoned them when their daughter was just three months old but he contacted the victim in September 2023.

From October 2023 to March this year, the mother allowed her daughter to stay with the suspect and his live-in partner on several occasions, the NBI said.

However, the suspect’s live-in partner later informed the mother that he and her daughter had started a sexual relationship and were planning to live together.

The allegation was supported by recorded phone conversations and the suspect’s admission to his partner, the NBI added.

The victim also admitted her relationship with the suspect who now faces charges of rape and violence against women and children. —RUSSEL LORETO
