MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. vowed on Sunday to address the traffic congestion within Metro Manila by developing nearby areas and provinces besides advancing the country’s transportation system.

Patience
However, Marcos asked the public for patience, saying that these projects would take time to finish and alleviate the country’s traffic dilemma.
In the meantime, he advised the public to observe traffic rules and maintain discipline when driving. Marcos likewise assured motorists that government officials will take the lead in following road etiquette and regulations.
“It is not in our oath as public officials to violate traffic rules. The government will lead all agencies in being disciplined while on our roads,” the President said.
