20 LGUs now using eLGU app – DILG

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 20 local government units (LGU) began using the eLGU app which integrates services from different public sectors, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced on Wednesday.

To further bolster the eLGU app, which is part of the government’s eGov PH Super App, the DILG, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and the Anti-Red Tape Authority kicked off the eLGU Caravan in Quezon City.

“A total of 20 priority LGUs from National Capital Region, Region I, Region III, and Region 4A went through a series of training for the implementation of the system in their respective cities or municipalities,” said the DILG in a statement.

The National Capital Region is also known as Metro Manila, Region I is the Ilocos Region, Region III is Central Luzon, and Region 4A is the Calabarzon Region (composed of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon)

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. was supposed to attend the event but canceled at the last minute.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, DILG Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr., and DICT Secretary Ivan U made it to the event.
