QC road closures, rerouting scheme set for Chinese New Year

MANILA, Philippines —Several roads and streets in Quezon City will be closed to vehicular traffic from February 8 to 11 to make way for the celebration of the Chinese New Year, the city government announced on Wednesday.

The following streets / roads will be closed from 9:00 p.m on February 8 to 12 noon on February 11:

  • Banawe corner Sta. Rosa Street
  • Makaturing Street corner Biak na Bato
  • Sta. Rosa Street corner Biak na Bato
  • G. Roxas Street corner Biak na Bato
  • Del Monte Avenue corner Biak na Bato
  • Linaw Street corner Biak na Bato
  • Banawe corner Sta. Catalina Street
  • Linaw Street corner Matutum Street
  • G. Roxas Street corner Matutum Street

Del Monte Avenue corner Biak na Bato to Del Monte Avenue corner Cordillera Street will be closed to traffic from February 8 to 10.

“Ipapatupad din ang traffic re-routing para sa mga motoristang maapektuhan ng pagsasara ng naturang mga kalsada at may inilaan na parking areas para sa mga lalahok sa pagdiriwang,” the city government said.

(A traffic rerouting scheme will be implemented for motorists who will be affected by the road closures and parking areas will be provided for those who will join the festivities.)

“Magtutulungan at nakaantabay ang mga tauhan ng Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD) at Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) para maisaayos ang daloy ng trapiko sa nasabing lugar,” it added.

(Personnel from the Traffic and Transport Management Department and the Department of Public Order and Safety will supervise and control traffic in the affected areas.)
